John’s JK 2dr

So what happens when you have to decide between a SxS and building a Jeep?  Well,……..you build the Jeep!  John and his son Aaron let me make some of the decisions on the 2012 2dr JK build. I like when folks ask for good quality parts and let me help make those decisions. We used parts from several USA manufacturers to build what is a solid and well equipped Jeep for woods play as well as great highway manners. The 3.6L 6 spd is just right with 35″ tires and the 4.56 axle ratio. If you see John out and about let him know how cool his Jeep is!

Products used on this build include:

-Metalcloak True Dual Rate 2.5″ Suspension

-35″ Nitto Trail Grapplers

-17×9 Pro Comp soft 8 wheels

-Crawler Conceptz Skinny Bumpers

-Poison Spyder Rocker Knockers

-Warn Zeon 8-S

-Nitro sleeves and 4.56 gearsets

-Detroit Truetracs

-Magnaflow exhaust

The Surprise Project

So what normally happens when you go out of town? Maybe you come home and you’ve got a new couch in the living room or the kids have grown a little. The family might welcome you home with a hug and a kiss. Well, for one local family, the husband came home to a “rocked” Jeep!
I was contacted by a local customer regarding some upgrades to her husband’s Jeep while he was out of town. We had approximately 3 weeks for the job to be completed and also had to work within the budget she had set aside. The vehicle in question is a 2007 Jeep Wrangler JK two door. After several conversations and estimates were presented she decided to pull the trigger and get the ball rolling on the project. Below are the details:
-Bestop Trektop NX w/ tinted windows
-Mopar upper half doors
-Raptor Bedliner exterior black coating
-2014 Rubicon X wheels/tires
-Rough Country stubby bumper caps
-Metalcloak LED taillights
-Weathertech floor liners
-14″ Black stainless antenna
-new windshield and wipers

A little East TN snow fun

It has been a long time coming. We were able to get out for a Tuesday night snow run last week with our ice and snow accumulations. We started on the trail at 5 PM at the main Windrock Park entrance. We took trail 2 to trail 16 and then exited the park via trail 74 to Highway 116. Check out the video here.

sPOD with ARB Twin Compressor

“Newer Jeeps don’t have much room under the hood to mount accessories.” I just ate those words a few weeks ago after installing the sPOD with Mountain Off Road’s under hood ARB twin compressor mount. The setup turned out great and we had room to run a remote disconnect on the front bumper. If you have questions about pricing or fitment don’t hesitate to give us a call. And check out this 2013 Rubicon with these components installed:

1993 Cherokee Country Project

Scott’s XJ was a clean, rust free canvas to build from. I was surprised at how nice it was, inside and out. He was looking for a very street-able daily driven rig as well as well as weekend camping/wheeling rig. Scott came to Rock Your 4×4 with a host of maintenance items and a list of parts he thought would work well on this project. We talked several weeks before pulling the trigger and ordering the parts to make sure we could stay in his budget and address the concerns and questions he had with the build. We settled on the following:
-Rusty’s 3″ Advanced kit with rear springs and HD front coils
-Rusty’s greasable rear shackles
-Rusty’s rear bar pin eliminators
-T/C drop
-Synergy ball joints
-Zone steering stabilizer
-Zone front sway bar links
-new hub bearings
-new pads, rotors, and calipers
-new axle joints
-Currie steering
-15×8 Pro Comp steel wheels
-31/10.50r15 M/T Deegan tires
-Magaflow exhaust with custom tailpipe
The new stance is a head turner. We hope to see Scott on the trail soon.
